I have always been a huge fan of summer for as long as I remember. I typically roll my eyes as images of pumpkin spice lattes flash across my screen on instagram. All I want are days on the beach, walks outside and cold lemonade. But I think this summers hot temperatures have changed my opinion and I could NOT be more excited to have hot. lattes, hot soups, cozy fires in the fireplace….and a little upgrade on my home decor for the season.
As I get older I can feel that I am developing a new love for the holidays. You would think it would work the opposite way, but when I was a kid it just felt like everyone was stressed out during the holidays and energy around the world a bit more chaotic. But oh man….the last few years I have gotten genuinely excited to decorate. My style of decorating is a bit different than most. I’ve never been a fan of cheesy holiday decorations so this year I have decided to put together a series of holiday boards for others just like me. You want your home to feel cozy during the holidays and to fit in with the season but you’re not into fake leaves, stuffed turkeys or oversized fake wreaths. You want a cozy, modern and soft vibe to take you into the cooler weather with ease. You want it to feel like fall but just in a more subtle way.
